Loving God

Article Pic

This begins with cultivating a daily devotional life with God. Our desire is that each member of our local fellowship and each of our workers that serves around the world would begin their day by seeking God in worship, prayer, Bible study, and meditation.

Loving God also means to rely wholly and completely on the Holy Spirit’s infilling and empowering to do the will of God.

Loving God means to love God’s Word and to honor it as the central piece of authority in our lives. God’s Word is the anchor for our soul.

Loving God means we are committed to holiness and purity in a world that has gone astray. We want to honor God in word, speech, action, and deed. Our desire is to love Him in such a way that it makes the world hunger to live a different life.

Lastly, loving God means living simply, working diligently, and giving generously. Our desire is to see money as a servant to do the will of God, not as a lord over our heart that would prevent us from loving God more.

Loving one another means that we honor men and women of every race, every culture, and economic status. It means we do not show favoritism in any way but in love, live together in unity and lay our lives down for one another.

It means to live in Acts 2:42-47 community where there is accountability and encouragement to serve God willingly and with our whole hearts.

It means to build strong and healthy families as the centerpiece of every fellowship and for those who are single and away from family to find a place of nurture, care, love, and healthy relationships.

Specifically for us, loving one another means not simply to live in community but to have intentional discipleship relationships which challenge, strengthen, build up, and encourage us to reproduce our lives around the world.

Loving Those Who Don't Know Jesus

This means to be equipped and strengthened to be able to confidently share our faith on a daily basis in such a way that people are given the opportunity to respond.

It means that we are loving all the peoples of the earth who are apart from God and praying and longing for them to know Him, especially the poor and the defenseless.

It means ultimately planting churches here and around the world so that the whole world can know who Jesus is. There is a personal responsibility but also a corporate responsibility to reproduce the life of Jesus by reaching those who have never heard.

Matthew 24:14 says, “This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.”
